Prior Work Experience:

Shyanne's prior work experience informs her work as a therapist.

  • She provided youth care, education, mentorship and helped facilitate positive social, emotional and behavioural learning children, adolescents, and families in community options as a Youth Worker at Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre
  • As an Education Coordinator working with EDUCO, she worked one-on-one teaching coping skills and providing academic support for students with learning disabilities, mental illnesses and/or life challenges that impeded their ability to succeed in a traditional academic environment.
  • She implemented the Pivotal Response Therapy program at the IWK Children’s Hospital, delivering one-on-one support to enhance language and social communication skills in children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

These experiences provide Shyanne with a strong foundation of understanding, empathizing, and relating to children, adolescents, and adults as a Counselling Therapist Candidate.

Outside of her work as a therapist, she loves spending time with her two dogs, being outdoors hiking or snorkelling at the beach, and travelling to new places.

Now a full-time therapist at Five Star Wellbeing, Shyanne offers a warm, client-centered approach. She is committed to creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to work toward positive change.

Welcome Shyanne!
