Who We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from therapists who value ethical care, collaboration and a warm, attachment-based approach.
Required Credentials
Applicants must be licensed in Nova Scotia as one of the following:
- Registered Counselling Therapist or Candidate
- Clinical Social Worker with a clinical designation
- Registered Psychologist or Candidate Registered Psychologist
Preferred Clinical Approach
We are seeking a therapist with interest, foundational training and some experience in Emotionally Focused Therapy, along with skills in at least one additional modality such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy or Compassion Focused Therapy.
Clientele
Our clients are referred from a range of medical professionals, community agencies and businesses in the Annapolis Valley. We maintain a close working relationship with the Department of Opportunities and Social Development. We receive regular referrals related to child protection and victim services. We are looking for a therapist with experience, and a passion for helping children, teens and adults who have experienced distress, trauma and attachment injuries as a part of their practice.

Greenwich Office
You will work with myself, Derrick McEachern, the owner of Five Star Wellbeing. I see clients 5-6 days a week out of my office here. Our office is located on a 1.6 Acre property, offering opportunities to sit outdoors or to provide walk-and-talk therapy in a private setting. Our two offices are in a welcoming, cozy space that share a kitchenette and a bathroom. There is flexibility to work online, but the majority of our clientele is in person.
I am seeking a therapist interested in working closely and collaboratively, interested in participating in regular peer consultation, as well as supporting community initiatives as they arise.
